Day One Itinerary
10:30 am — Coffee & Setup
We meet for a coffee and review your camera settings, ensuring you are fully prepared to hit the streets.11:00 am — Street Photography Masterclass
I will lead the group out onto the streets to teach my signature photography techniques, focusing on how to capture fleeting moments in the blink of an eye.12:00 pm — Practical Split Session (Part 1)
The group splits into two:Group A: Heads out to put their new street photography skills into practice.
Group B: Learns essential portrait skills, focusing on lighting, backgrounds, posing, and building a connection. They will then shoot a live model using these techniques.
12:45 pm — Practical Split Session (Part 2)
The groups swap over. Group A shoots portraits with the model, while Group B takes to the streets.1:30 pm — Lunch Break
A 30-minute break to rest and refuel.2:00 pm — Building the Scene
We analyze different urban environments and work on how to compose an image on the streets. You will be given a choice of three distinct street scenes to work with.2:30 pm — Storytelling Split Session (Part 1)
The group splits again:Group A: Focuses on building their scenes and working a specific street area.
Group B: Learns portrait storytelling with a model, followed by a practical session to practice these narrative skills.
3:15 pm — Storytelling Split Session (Part 2)
The groups swap over. Group A transitions to portrait storytelling, while Group B works on their chosen street scenes.4:00 pm — Social Review & Q&A
We head to a local bar to review everything learned throughout the day. We will look through everyone’s favourite photos, hold a dedicated Q&A session, and open the floor to group discussion.6:00 pm — Day One Wrap-Up
Day Two Itinerary
10:30 am — Welcome Back & Tech Prep
We meet near Chinatown to get your camera settings ready for the day and troubleshoot any specific technical issues or questions that came up during Day One.11:00 am — Dual-Model Portrait Session
Two models arrive, and the group splits into two. Each group works with one model for 45 minutes before swapping to shoot the second model.12:30 pm — Soho Photo Walk
We journey through the streets of Soho, putting your skills into action by capturing fleeting moments and building narrative scenes on the move.1:30 pm — Lunch Break
A 30-minute break to rest and refuel.2:00 pm — Street Journey to Washington Square Park
We resume our street walk, capturing candid moments as we make our way toward Washington Square Park.3:00 pm — Masterclass: The Art of the Approach
Paul demonstrates his exact process for approaching strangers on the street. Everyone will have the opportunity to photograph the people Paul connects with.3:20 pm — The Stranger Challenge
Now it's your turn. You are tasked with approaching strangers in Washington Square Park—putting your approach confidence, portrait techniques, and storytelling skills to the test.4:30 pm — Social Review, Drinks & Q&A
We head to a local bar to unwind and review the day. We will share everyone's favourite photos, run a final Q&A session, and wrap up the workshop with a group discussion.
